Terra Australis Society of Student Representation Directorate
The purpose of the TA-SSRD is to provide students, apprentices, trainees, young workers, and emerging professionals with a structured voice inside the Party. The Directorate will allow young Australians to participate in policy development, civic engagement, student advocacy, community campaigns, and leadership development.
About us
The Terra Australis Society of Student Representation Directorate, known as the TA-SSRD, is the official student representation body of Terra Australis.
The TA-SSRD exists to give students a structured voice within the movement and to provide young Australians with a pathway into civic involvement, leadership, organisation, policy discussion, and community service. It is built on the belief that students should not be passive observers of the nation’s future, but active participants in shaping it.
Through membership, representation, training, and organised student leadership, the TA-SSRD works to support students who want to contribute to Terra Australis and develop the skills required for public service, political organisation, communication, and responsible leadership.
Our role is to connect students across schools, universities, TAFEs, and training institutions, while ensuring their ideas, concerns, and ambitions are heard within the wider Terra Australis structure. The Directorate provides a clear membership system, internal command hierarchy, and opportunities for students to take on responsibility, build experience, and represent their peers.
The TA-SSRD is committed to discipline, service, education, national responsibility, and the development of future leaders. It exists not only to represent students today, but to prepare them for the duties and challenges of tomorrow.
